The MAN in LA – 2 gatherings Dec. 10 and 11

Hello friends!what_if_still

I have a lot to write about and will post upcoming onboarding process info (starting January! For new members of HUMANs, the global Mutual Aid Network as well as people exploring becoming pilot sites) plus a year-in-review (besides all the horrors you’ve already noticed about 2016, there was some great building going on).

But for now I want to give you the quick and simple news that we have two gatherings in the LA area next weekend.

First, Saturday December 10 from 2-4pm at Los Angeles Eco-Village

We’re hosting a gathering of people and organizations in Los Angeles to learn what the Mutual Aid Network framework can do and explore how it might help us meet our goals – as individuals, as organizations, in our projects, and in partnership with one another. Those of us who choose to proceed will determine goals and next steps.

L.A. Eco Village is located at 117 Bimini Pl L.A. CA 90004 Off the Beverly Vermont stop on the Metro red line. Parking is limited carpooling or public transit is encouraged. http://laecovillage.org/

This is a free event but donations are welcome. Proceeds benefit MAN, Arroyo S.E.C.O and L.A. Eco Village

Second, Sunday December 11 from 1-2pm at Throop Unitarian Universalist Church 300 S Los Robles Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101

This will be a one-hour informal discussion (similar topic as above, in half the time!) with anyone who chooses to stay after the service and anyone who wants to come from the general public. I hear great things about this church from my friend who attends, so feel free to check out the service before our gathering.

Hope to see you! Tell your friends!

And stay tuned for more exciting MAN news as we prepare for a champagne year.

Take care, and enjoy your winter season. I hope you get some time to rest and recharge and recover from 2016.
